One of A Kind Jewelry

Mark

Mark wanted to encapsulate his Irish heritage and family ties in his wedding band. I was very inspired by the Celtic “sailor’s knot”. This knot design features two intertwined ropes and would be created by sailors during their long voyages as a means of remembering their loved ones. Although it is a relatively simple knot to tie, it happens to be one of the strongest. As Mark is serving in active duty for the US Air Force, I felt this was a very fitting knot for him to keep his “tie” to his wife close by, even when he is deployed overseas.

This ring was created through the intricate process of inlay. First using gravers to remove the metal creating the pattern and a deep enough channel, then hammering in the soft yellow gold, and finally sanding the metal back to reveal the beautiful woven knot.

Materials: 14k White Gold and 22k Yellow Gold
