One of A Kind Jewelry

About

Jewelry is a hereditary passion. I have had glitter running through my veins since the day I was born. For my mother, grandmother and I jewelry is not just an accessory, but a life¬¬¬style and one of our beautiful bonds. One of my most treasured pieces of jewelry was given to me by my parents on my eighteenth birthday. It was a ring that they had custom made to incorporate a sapphire from the first piece of jewelry my Dad gave to my Mother when they were dating, and a diamond that was from my late grandmother’s ring. I love the story that this ring holds for my family and I, and I aim to forge this type of emotion and love into each piece that I design.

Jewelry is a timeless and beautiful medium, because it is a nod to the past, a commemoration of the moment and is filled with all the promises of the future ahead. Jewelry ties us to those moments, memories and to those people we hold dear to us. I find great joy in the connective thread between the physical labor of creating, and the embodiment of emotions it holds for the wearer.

Since early civilizations, jewelry has always held an esteemed place in our cultures, as a commemoration of the intimate moments of our lives. I am inspired by many of those same cultures, and I draw my inspiration from their traditional techniques. Filigree is a technique that for centuries, has spanned many civilizations around the world. The swirling patterns and tight-fitting spirals demand intense focus and an eye for the intricate. I have blended the techniques and patterns of several disciplines to create my own unique style of filigree, accented with intricate stone setting work to create a contemporary fusion.

My mission is to make your dream piece a reality; and with meticulous and beautiful design and a perfectionist’s flair, I know I can create the piece you have always imagined.

In 2014 I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with my BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. From there I continued on to the Graduate Bench Jeweler Program at the New Approach School for Jeweler’s in Tennessee, where I honed my finite bench skills, and expanded my repertoire of stone setting abilities. For the past four years I have been working as a bench Jeweler for a high end jewelry store in Upstate New York.
